New Perkins parts are covered by Perkins warranty, please enquire for more information.
Aftermarket parts are covered by a 12 month warranty.
New “old stock” parts are no longer covered by warranty and may come without original packing.
The part condition is stated in the product description under ‘Additional Information’.
Engines
New Perkins engines are covered by Perkins warranty, please enquirie for more information.
New JCB engines are covered by a 6 months parts warranty only from invoice date.
New “old stock” engines do not have warranty unless otherwise stated.
Remanufactured engines come with a 12 month warranty from invoice date
New short motors built by Timik come with a 6 months parts warranty.
The engine condition is stated in the product description under ‘Condition’.
Engine Warranty Procedure
Warranty Procedure for Remanufactured Engines
Warranty Coverage
Our remanufactured engines are supplied with a 12-month warranty, commencing from the date of invoice on an ex works basis. This warranty covers any defects or faults arising from the remanufacturing process, materials, or components under normal use and maintenance as specified by the original manufacturer.
Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
· Installation and Removal Costs: This warranty does not cover any costs associated with the removal or reinstallation of the engine.
· Consequential Damages: Damage to surrounding components, loss of income, or additional charges related to the failure of the engine are not covered.
· Improper Use or Maintenance: Any damage resulting from misuse, neglect, or failure to adhere to the manufacturer’s specified maintenance schedule.
· Modifications or Unauthorised Repairs: Any issues resulting from alterations, modifications, or unauthorised repairs to the engine.
Engines must be installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in the voiding of the warranty.
Warranty Claim Procedure
1. Notification of Issue
· In the event of an issue with the engine, notify us immediately before commencing any repair work. Contact us by phone or email, detailing the nature of the issue, engine serial number, and any relevant usage information.
2. Warranty Form Completion
· Complete the Warranty Claim Form (provided on request). Ensure all sections are fully completed, including a detailed description of the fault, circumstances under which it occurred, and any relevant photos or documentation.
3. Submission of Claim
· Submit the completed Warranty Claim Form and supporting documentation to us within 10 business days of notifying us of the issue. Incomplete forms or missing documentation may delay the processing of your claim or result in rejection.
4. Evaluation of Claim
· Upon receipt, our warranty team will evaluate the claim. This may include:
– Reviewing submitted documentation to determine if the issue is covered.
– Requesting further information or documentation if needed.
– Arranging an inspection of the engine (if required).
5. Resolution
· If the claim is approved, we will arrange for the repair or replacement of the faulty engine component(s). Note: The customer is responsible for any costs associated with transporting the engine to and from our facility for inspection, repair, or replacement, as this warranty is ex works.
Important Notes
Risk of Rejection: Failure to notify us before commencing repairs or failing to complete the warranty form may result in the rejection of the warranty claim.
Ex Works: All warranty claims are handled on an ex works basis, meaning all associated transport, removal, or refitting costs are not covered under this warranty.
